The World We Live In!

Wonder Woman 1984 is just what superhero movie fans need today. This movie is a perfect break from the long absence of superhero movies. It's a warm, emotional and loving story. Being a solo superhero movie, the director had full scope of story development. But if you go with an expectation of Avengers or Civil War or a Justice League, you will be disappointed, as this movie relies on more emotions than action. Now, this is the strength as well as weakness of this movie. Being able to connect emotionally with audiences is good, but that needs more storytime and less action. Now, superhero fans who have expectations like recent multi hero movies will not be satisfied with this. They may like the movie, but will rate it lower on recent superhero movies.  There are few small loose ends, but nothing major. I won't go into details as this is spoiler free and don't want to get into the story. Maybe after a while, I will post details with spoilers.  So, if you are planning to watc...

I have already posted my spoiler free review for this movie, and here I am, back again, writing another post about the movie. This movie is so bad, that I could not control myself from punching the keyboard again to write this post. This time, I will put details of what did not work in the movie, spoilers included. I am also going to put my thought of how the same story could have been told differently, in much more entertaining way, still maintaining continuity with MoS and Justice League. So, if you have not seen the movie, and planning to watch it, please stop reading now. I will give you few more lines to skip this article before I go for analysis of this movie, on how bad it is. I am not going to repeat what I have already written in my earlier review, but going to give you the points why this movie is so bad that this series should be stopped right now. We need another reboot, or if not possible, stop it all together. I refuse to let fans like me taken for granted by DC/WB an...

Amitabh Bachchan is Super Star, or the living legend or Star of the millennium or not sure whatever names given to him. But, that does not translate to the box office register. People don’t go and watch his movies. They like him; there is no doubt about it. His game show KBC is a hit, his appearances on other TV reality shows are liked by people, his advertisements are hit, but his movies are not.  This is interesting to note, that he still command a large fan followings, and ranked #3 in Times of India Celebrity Index in January 2015. He has always been in Top 10, and was #1 in April 2014.  He has 13.6 million followers on Twitter, 19.8 million followers on Facebook, and his blog is also read by millions of people regularly, including media giants. Anything he says, post or share becomes news, as media recognize that people do like to read or see him in news.

Happy Valentine's Day to all of you. Today, is the day we celebrate love! Love is a wonderful thing; it joins two souls into one! When you are in love with someone, you don’t remain two different individuals, but becomes one. There are lots written about love, so I am not going to fill pages about it again. I know, love is a feeling, you just can’t express it in words, you have to feel it. So, I decided to show the feeling which is love, by actually letting you feel the power of love. I picked up my all-time favorite song, “O Saathi Re” from Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, which has two original versions. Both were solo versions, one by Asha Bhosle, for the female child artist who represent heroin’s child age in the movie, and another by Kishore Kumar, for the hero. Its worth mentioning here that the movie is inspired by Devdas story, and I think this is one of the much better interpretation of Devdas in modern age. Both songs are great individually, with some similar and some differe...

I have seen the movie, and saw various comments on social media as well as news for both in support as well as against this movie. One group is claiming that the movie is showing Hindu religion in bad light, whereas another group that it shows true color of people taking advantage in the name of religion. I think both are completely wrong, and they have not understood the movie. I would encourage them to watch the movie again, and if they go after reading this post, it will help them understand the true story of PK.  God works in mysterious ways. God helps who trust God with the core of their heart. You can’t just perform some rituals and expect God to fulfill your wishes. You have to have faith in God. And your faith should not be selfish that if your wish is delayed, then you start questioning God. When you show true faith and devotion, God comes to you, show you the right path. Now all you have to do is walk on that path. This is exactly what PK story is all ...

I have to admit, when I came out of this movie, I was confused, and thinking hard to find a logical sense to the story. One thought which came to my mind was that my thinking ability is of 3 dimensions and that’s the reason I am not able to logically conclude this 5 dimension story. But few hours later, and few brainstorming sessions with myself, I came up with a somewhat logical explanation on what could have happened in the background, not shown to us, but may have leads to this story-line.  Here, in this story behind the story of Interstellar, I am presenting the story which may have happened in the normal timeline, without the event shown in the movie. These timelines will lead to a situation where the movie would have started. Read on, to check what has happened in the actual timeline.

I wish you a very happy new year 2014. I watched Sholay 3D today, and decided to write my first post of 2014 about this movie. We all know Sholay! We have been knowing Sholay since its release or since we came to senses, whichever is later. Nothing new can be written about Sholay. We have been watching it, reading about it, discussing it, saying it all these years! I don’t think we can even remember how many times we have seen this movie. So, what would I write in a review of this movie? Just one line: GO AND RELIVE THE MAGIC OF SHOLAY IN THEATERS… AGAIN!!!!

After watching Ra.One last night, I was disappointed, not because I am a fan of SRK, but because I am a fan of Sci-Fi, Superhero, Special Effect movies, and wanted this one to be a record breaker, so that more such movies can be made in India! But this movie is nothing except copy of various Hollywood superhero movies. We have seen Terminator 2, which is the main copy for the story of Ra.One, where a villain comes from another dimension (from future in T2 and from game in Ra.One) to kill the boy, and hero also comes from the same dimension to save the kid. Then, we have seen Iron Man with heart, Tron with the costume, Spiderman with the train sequence, and Speed with the train sequence on road. There are more in Ra.One, and I am sure we all have seen these movies, and remember these sequences. So, while disappointed, I thought of writing my own review of this movie, so read on, and don’t worry about spoilers, as there is very little original in the movie, so even if you don’t read...

I got this on mail, and it is hilarious writeup about Gabbar Singh's character! If you don't know who Gabbar Singh is, then stop reading here. If you have seen SHOLAY, chances are you must have seen it multiple times! Still we can't get enough of SHOLAY and its characters! Gabbar Singh, like all other SHOLAY characters, is immortal. This article is based on the fact that if, and I say again, if we teach Sholay in our textbook, there will be teachings on its characters. And considering the new era of movies with anti-hero or main actor playing negative role, there is going to be a different perspective on Gabbar's character. Read on to enjoy:

HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011 TO ALL! This is my 50th post on this Blog, and I never thought I can post upto 50 when I started. I wanted to post this in December 2010, as my last post of the year. But somehow, the time taken in research as well as year end holidays delayed it, and now we are with this, my 50th post, about Sholay Special Edition DVD and Alternate Version, as the first post this year. Sholay ! The name is enough! Yes, I am talking about Sholay the movie! The most famous movie of Indian film industry ever! There are so much written about Sholay, that I don't think I can add any new information in the already known knowledge about this movie! It’s a cult movie! Even today, after 35 years of its release, people still remember the characters, not just the main characters, but small guest appearance characters such as Surma Bhopali or Jailor, Sambha, Kalia as well! We still refer Sholay dialogues in day to day conversations! So, if people know so much and remember this much...

Karwa Chouth! Yes, today is Karwa Chouth, but my wife don't do fasting. Not because she does not believe in it, but its not celebrated in our family. We have different similar fasting day for women, its Jiutiya. It's a different story that my wife does not do fasting in Jiutiya as well, because she is not into this fasting and all. She prays, but no fasting, believes in GOD, but limited to self prayers only. I truly support her in this. But, when I am saying its a great day, its not because of Karwa Chouth, but other reasons.

Just came to know about Amitabh admitted to hospital. Today is his 66th Birthday, and instead of celebration, he is being taken care by doctors. Well, I am and I know all of his fans are praying for his health. I am sure he will recover and comes back sooner than we think. Just wanted to express myself on this news, so a small post for BigB!

As mentioned earlier, I have got the Polday 2008 video and uploaded it on YouTube. You will find the links below in this post. This presentation will be a little more close to my heart, as this was my last day in the company were I have spend 7.5 years! Actually, my official last day was 29th Aug, Friday, but I was allowed to participate in Polday, just the day after. It was a good show. It all started with just a concept of Musical Ramayan. We wanted to show the story of Ramayan with the help of Bollywood Songs. The situations and songs were finalized by general discussion with the overall team. We cut and prepare the songs, few situations were cut to shorten the overall time. Casting was done, and practice started. Soorpanakha was changed twice, Lakshman and Hanuman were changed once, Ravan was changed twice as well. Overall it was just one week of work, and it was complete fun! While we were practicing, some guys were busy preparing the title boards for our presentation. They ...

Watched Sarkar Raj yesterday! Its Sarkar all over again, and more! If you have seen Sarkar, and liked it, go and watch Sarkar Raj, its more intense, more shocking and I think one of the finest creation of RGV! After AAG, I was not very sure about this one, but RGV has again proved me wrong! He has delivered a masterpiece one more time! I will not take much of your time, and get down to business. The best of the movie-- Amitabh Bachchan! Should I say more ? He is same character you saw in Sarkar, with more intense look and some great dialogues which you can remember after watching the movie, something like old AB movies, after a long time. He is the central focus of the movie, like the original. There is a change from the original. Here, you get to see an angry AB, taking charge of the situation and killing people. The Sarkar AB was taken a back seat and ABjr was doing the killings. His GOD like persona is simply awesome! Abhisek Bachchan! He has deliver a great performance. I...

Yesterday, I went to watch  Bhoothnath ! I was with my kids, and enjoyed the movie! Kids were the one who enjoyed the most! The movie is for kids, but parents and the whole family will like it! Its kinda Disney movies, made for the whole family. Yes, the 2 hour 15 minute movies is not 100% well made, specially the songs are not fitting and could be taken away from the movie. I think out of all the songs, I prefer "Banku Bhaiya", Hum to hai Andhi" to be cut from the movie, and leave the "Hey Buddy" as the climax song only, and not in the movie! It still leaves us with two more songs in the movie, but these are situation based and ok to be in the movie.  The best part is of course Amitabh Bachchan! But the kid has got great talent! He and BigB both carried the movie perfectly well! Juhi is lovely as a mother! SRK was good in his small but impressive (not so impressive) role. I will really give credit to the first time director to have SRK in special appearanc...

I enjoy watching Wrestling or to be specific, WWE, as there is no competition today to WWE. It has already taken care of WCW and ECW. I don't think TNA is really up against WWE, at least not till today. Well, that story some other day, but today, I came to know about a new DVD set from WWE, called "The Greatest Superstars Of Wrestlemania", and wanted to know which matches are put on this DVD. The obvious thing to do is google it, and I did, but only to get torrents for this DVD set. It is only at page#3 of Google search that I found something useful. Maybe my search was not good, as I searched for "WWE The Greatest Superstars Of Wrestlemania" on google.co.in (my default home page). For those who don't know what torrent is, I would just say that its one of the easiest and most widely used medium of piracy today. Someday, I will put up a post on torrents as well, but till then, just Google it if you need more information. Its not that the Google is no...

Madhuri is back! Just saw Aaja Nachale, The Musical! Yes, the name should be Aaja Nachale, The Musical! Because it is a Musical movie! Most part of the story is shown into songs! But, wait, the presentation is not that u go out of theater for a smoke during songs! Its like u r watching an Opera! A Musical Broadway show! Its a new experiment in Indian Cinema! From the Box Office initial reports, people are not liking it, but no one can predict Indian audience. u never know what they like and what don't! But the movie is really worth watching with entire family! They don't make many family movies these days! And it has Madhuri! Aha! Dhak Dhak Madhuri! She is WOW! She is UUFFFF! She is Ouch! She is still same Madhuri! The story does not support any Dhak Dhak songs, but the way she danced in the movie... u need to see it... i can not explain it in words! Its just Madhuri Magic! Madhuri was more than enough for me to watch 2 hour 21 min movie! And I am not alone! There are m...
