दंगल एक बेहतरीन फिल्म है। पूरी कहानी कुश्ती पर आधारित होते हुए भी इमोशन और ड्रामा से भरपूर है। आमिर ने एक बार फिर बाज़ी मार ली है। शायद यह 2016 की सबसे अच्छी फिल्म साबित हो।  बस इससे आगे मैं इस फिल्म की और तारीफ नहीं कर सकता। अब जो लिख रहा हूँ, वह मेरा अपना विचार है, और उसका फिल्म के मनोरंजक और अच्छे होने से कोई सरोकार नहीं है। मुझे फिल्म की कहानी पसंद नहीं आई। लगभग सबको कहानी के बारे में पता है, इसलिए यहाँ जो मैं लिख रहा हूँ, वह कोई भेद नहीं खोलेगा। कहानी में एक लड़की की विपरीत परिस्थितियों से लड़कर विजेता बनने के सफर को दिखाने की कोशिश की गई है। पर जिस नजरिए से मैंने देखा, मुझे यह एक लड़की की अपनी सफलता से अधिक उसका बलिदान दिखा। यह कहानी स्त्री प्रधान ना होकर पुरुष प्रधान निकली। एक व्यक्ति जो खुद अपने जीवन में सफलता ना पा सका, अपनी जिद के चलते अपने दो बच्चों का बचपन और उनकी इच्छाएं उनसे छीन कर, उनके जीवन को कुर्बान कर देता है। उनकी अपनी पहचान खत्म हो जाती है। हर जगह उन्हें अपनी इच्छाओं को मारना पड़ता है। लोगों के उपहास का पात्र बनना पड़ता है। और यह सब सिर्फ इसलिए कि वह अपने पित...

Today, World Cup Cricket 2015 ended for us. We lost to Australia in Semi Final, and are out of game. I am not going to analyze the game, and provide insight on why we lost, and what we could have done better. Every cricket fan knows what went wrong, and everyone has opinion, suggestions and what not, about how we could have won. So, there is no point writing about it.  I am going to write about my feelings, and good feelings, proud feelings about our team. The Indian cricket team. The M S Dhoni and his boys in Blue! They lost the game, but won our heart! The overall performance in this tournament by our team was outstanding. They came as a weak team, and no one was even ready to accept that they will reach Quarter Finals. I remember, their first game was with Pakistan, and we were wishing for that one match win. I was there, in 1983, when India won their first ever Cricket World Cup by defeating West Indies. We Indian believed in our heart, that we can do it, but in our mind, we were not 100% sure, if India can defeat two times World Champion, in the final of World Cup! But the underdog did it and lifts the cup! I still remember those days, when there was no live telecast, and radio was the only hope for us. But, it was 1983, so radio also gave you live commentary till midnight, and then goes silent. No, the match continues, and commentary will be transmitted from the ground, but our very own AIR (All India Radio) will just record it, and not transmit it post-midnight. Why? I still don’t know after 28 years. Maybe back then, there was no culture of overnight shift, or it was thought that people will not be awake, even for World Cup Cricket, and India playing in final, post-midnight. The Planning and Ticket It all started when my friend JD called me on Saturday, March 27, about the tickets of this game. All the news channels and newspapers are constantly telling that tickets are sold at very high premium, and not easy to get. I never planned to attend this game in the ground, as it was in Mohali, around 300km away from my place. But just knowing that JD is going, and emotionally, I too was completely attached to this game, decided why not? It took me just 5 seconds to decide about paying Rs 22,000/- for Rs 500/- ticket of this match. It’s not that I bought the ticket from black market on a premium, but ours was a package from official Tour Partner of World Cup, TUI.in, and it includes a T-Shirt, transfer from Chandigarh to Mohali and back, apart from the ticket.
