  We just had a tragedy in Nepal and some part of India. Thousands of people lost their life and thousands more were injured. There is loss of property worth millions. It really a sad situation and we should pray for those who suffered in recent earthquake. But it’s more saddening that some people are actually trying to take advantage of this tragedy!! When I see post about praising some institute or person, on what they have done for victims, along with some bad language used for specifically targeted religion or groups or people asking what they are doing, it negate on whatever good these institutions or people are doing. If you are doing some good work just to show others and make fun of them, it cannot be called good work. Below is one such example. I praise our Army for reaching out to victims in record time for rescue. Our government is also responsible for this quick action, and they should be praised too, including our PM. But that does not mean some cheap people start...

आप लोगो ने यह शब्द कई जगह पढ़ा या सुना होगा। आजकल भारत में यह शब्द सोशल मीडिया पर छाया हुआ है। अर्थात ट्रेडिंग कर रहा है। लोग इसके बारे में फेसबुक या ट्विटर पर पोस्ट कर रहे है। हमारी ट्राई ने भी अपने वेब साइट पर लोगो से सलाह माँगी है। अँग्रेज़ी में बहुत लेख मिल जाएँगे इसके बारे में। सोचा क्यों न हिंदी पढ़ने वाले लोगो के लिए साधारण भाषा में इसकी व्याख्या कर दी जाये। शायद यह जानकारी आपके लिए उपयोगी हो।  नेट निष्पक्षता क्या है? नेट निष्पक्षता का अर्थ है, एक मुक्त इंटरनेट, जिसके किसी भी हिस्से को देखने/पढ़ने/सुनने के लिए सिर्फ़ एक प्रकार के साधन की आवश्यकता हो। अर्थात डाटा, किसी भी प्रकार का डाटा, समान माना जाये, और उसमें इसलिए कोई भेद ना किया जाये की वह कमेंट है, या वीडियो है या फोटो है। साधारण शब्दों में, आज आप अपने घर पर इंटरनेट लेते है, या फिर अपने मोबाइल फ़ोन पर इंटरनेट लेते है। आप उसके लिए पैसे देते है। घर पर ब्रॉडबैंड के अलग अलग डाटा रफ़्तार यानि स्पीड के पैकेज है, आप शायद वाई फाई भी लगा ले। वैसे ही मोबाइल पर भी कई पैकेज है, 2जी 3जी या फिर जल्द ही आने वाला एलटीई 4जी।...

आज सुबह की डाक से मिले पत्र ने मुझे चौंका दिया। पुरानी यादें ताज़ा हो गई।  मानस पटल पर चल-चित्र कि भाँति मेरे नागपुर में गुज़ारे दिन सामने आने लगे।  पच्चीस वर्ष पूर्व की वह सुबह जब चलती ट्रेन में मेरी उससे मुलाकात हुई। मेरी नई नई नौकरी लगी थी, और मैं कंपनी के काम से कुछ दिनों के लिए नागपुर जा रहा था। वह ट्रेन में बिलासपुर से नागपुर जाने के लिए चढ़ी थी। अचानक की हम दोनो में बातों का सिलसिला चल पड़ा और नागपुर तक का रास्ता बात करते करते ही कटा। हम नागपुर स्टेशन पर एक दूसरे का सामान लेकर इस तरह उतरे जैसे दोनो साथ साथ आए हो। मैं नागपुर पहली बार आया था, वह नागपुर में पढ़ती थी और उसे अपने होस्टल जाना था। उसने मुझे एक होटल तक पहुँचाया और अपने होस्टल चली गयी। जाते वक़्त फिर मिलने का आश्वासन था। मुझे आश्चर्य मिश्रित प्रसन्नता हो रही थी। अपनी किस्मत पर भरोसा नहीं कर पा रहा था। 

I came across information related with mobile rule in Turkey. All IMEI numbers of locally sold mobile phones are registered at service providers’ network. Any foreign phone, with non-registered IMEI number can work without any issue, if it is using its original foreign network SIM card. That would come under international roaming and user will have to pay stiff charges as per international roaming rates. But if someone visiting the country with foreign phone and try to use the local SIM card, it will be blocked within days as that would be categorized as non-registered IMEI number. India has very low literacy rate, and that is responsible for most of our social issues. With explosion of population, we have millions of uneducated people who can easily be manipulated. This is the reason we still see racial or religious issues taking front row in any election. Most of the people vote for caste and religion rather that candidate’s ability or development agenda. It’s not that they don’t want to, but due to lack of education or proper education, they just can’t judge the candidates based on merit. Similarly, honor killing, rape, dowry and all such social evils are also indirectly related to our education system. If you educate people from their childhood, and provide proper guidance abut such social evils, you should be able to minimize such problems, if not eradicate it.  Our budget allocates less than 4% to Education sector. आज पहली बार इतने सारे बच्चों को अच्छे अच्छे कपड़े पहने हुए खिलखिलाते और दौड़ते भागते हुए देख उसे आश्चर्य हो रहा था। अपने अनाथालय में बाकी के २५ बच्चों के साथ रहते हुए वह ख़ुश थी। वह भी खेलती कूदती थी उनके साथ। स्कूल भी जाती थी। परंतु यहाँ के बच्चों की ख़ुशी और उसकी ख़ुशी में बहुत अंतर था। यहाँ के बच्चों की ख़ुशी में एक अनजानी सी बेतकल्लुफ़ सी भावना थी, जैसे उन्हें किसी चीज़ की चिंता ही ना हो। बस कुछ चाहिए तो अपनी माँ के पास पहुँच कर जिद करने लगते थे। उसकी माँ तो थी नहीं, अतः यह एहसास भी एक नया सा था, की कोई ऐसा भी हो सकता है जो आपकी नाजायज़ जिद पर भी आपको प्यार से देखे और आपकी उस जिद को पूरा करे। यह नन्हें नन्हें बच्चे क्या जाने की उसके पास माँ तो ना थी, पर माँ जैसी भी कोई नहीं थी। अनाथालय में उन बच्चों की देखभाल करने वाली दीदी की उम्र भी इतनी नहीं थी की उसे वह माँ जैसी समझ पाती। वह दीदी हमेशा इस उधेड़बुन में लगी रहती थी की सभी बच्चों के पालन पोषण का इंतजाम कैसे हो। अनाथालय में ख़ुशियाँ तो थी, परंतु कल की चिंता भी छाई रहती थी उन ख़ुशियों पर। उसे भी पता था दीदी की मज़बूरियों के ...
